The questions we get asked most
What kinds of puzzle can I make?Word searches and crosswords, both at every level. One topic can go out as either. In a crossword every answer crosses one main word, and the shaded squares spell it out. Math mazes and crossmaths, for grades 1 to 5, need no topic and no AI: pick the grade and the operations and print. More kinds are planned.
Is it really free?Yes. Typing your own words, editing, printing and reprinting cost nothing, with or without an account. Only the AI writing a set for you is counted.
Do I need a subscription?No. Teachers get 10 free AI sets a month. Paid credit is coming soon: 12 credits each, from a balance you top up when you want.
What is the WordQuest line on my sheet?A small "Made with WordQuest" line in the footer, and the same words faintly behind the grid. It is all we ask for the free ride. A free generation or any balance prints the sheet without it.
What if the AI gets a word wrong?Edit any word or clue before printing. Or swap a single one for 2 credits, rather than redoing the whole set.
Will it print properly?The preview is the page. A real A4 or Letter sheet at full size, black on white, tested on staffroom photocopiers.
Am I allowed to use it as a parent?Yes. Everything works the same whether you teach thirty children or one. Verified teachers get a larger free monthly allowance; that is the only difference.
Can pupils play online?Not yet. Today it is print only. Classes, pupil logins and online play are planned.
Is my school's data safe?We store your account and your puzzles, nothing about pupils. Card details go straight to Polar. We do not advertise or sell anything about you. The privacy policy has the rest.
Can the school pay centrally?Not yet. One invoice for the whole staff is planned. Today each teacher has their own account and allowance.
